Considered by most to be the finest era of British silversmithing the Georgian era is well represented in the market place. Here can also be found silver of the pre-Georgian era which is much rarer, particularly pieces from before the Commonwealth and Civil War periods, as so much of it was melted for coinage in those turbulent times.
