The years 1837-1900 saw a whirlwind of change in the way people lived, behaved and thought and the silver of the period represents this perfectly. From the floral elegance of the early Victorian period to the Globalist fancies of the Aesthetic movement, then headlong in to the modernist. Victorian designers were bold and unafraid to embrace the change that was all around them, and infuse their designs with it.
